Neglected!!

Wow, my blog has really been neglected! LOL I have been SO BUSY!! I can't even tell you everything that has been going on! The biggest thing that has been happening since October (besides the holidays) has been the sale of our Florida home, the packing and traveling to our new home state of New Jersey, finding a new home for our family, moving in & unpacking! We have been in this house for just over a month now. Things are starting to feel more like "home" now that the boxes are gone and our belongings are in place! I can't tell you how much I love this house! The hardwood floors, the basement, the upstairs bedrooms, the gourmet kitchen, study, and "adult" den!! It is amazing! We have enough space now that we can actually have guests over and not have to move children (or toys) around to fit them! LOL
Here are some pictures:

Alright, well, life is calling me again, so I have to go, but I am GOING TO BLOG more this week! I promise!! :)

Happy Birthday Baby Blue!!

*Sniiffle*
It is my baby's 1 year birthday!! Where did the time go? We have been so busy during this last year that it has literally blown right past! I remember all to clearly the events of her birth...it couldn't have been a YEAR ago, could it?!? LOL
For her birthday, we invited our neighbors over for dinner, cake, and presents! She had a good time, I think! We got her a "Little People" themed cake and she had her own "smash cake" too! We centered the majority of her gifts around the "Little People" theme...even the neighbors brought over a HUGE set of them for her!! (We now have more of these little figures than Toys R Us, I think!! LOL)
Anyhow, the party was a success and Baby Blue danced and played in her party dress! Today, she decided that since she is now a "big girl" that there will be no more crawling! Nope, she walking everywhere she goes now! Nooooo.......my baby is getting big too fast!!
Here are some highlights from the day...

A Favorite passed down...

This was Cricket's pony when she was Baby Blue's age. Now, she is passing it down to her little sister! It is the sweetest thing to see Cricket teaching Baby Blue how to press the ear buttons so the pony will sing! Cricket was very sweet about passing down her toy!

Pumpkin Patch!

The kids were DYING to go to a Pumpkin Patch this fall. They didn't want to get pumpkins from the local grocery store or Walmart. Well, being that we are in Florida, we weren't sure where the closest Pumpkin Patch might be or how decent it would be. So, I did some quick research on the internet (What DID we do before the internet?) and found that there are several within a 2 or 3 hour drive from our house. Some were simple, pick your own pumpkin places, and some were all out Fall FUN - corn mazes, pumpkins, apple cider...you name it! We chose Seward Farms (www.sewardfarms.com), which was just under 2 hours from our house. We thought that it might be nice to make a day trip out of it! The kids had so much fun! Here are a few of the things we did: Slid down PVC Slides, Rode Cow Trains, Cheered at the Pig Races, Solved the Corn Maze, Played in the grass, Picked Wildflowers, Rode on the Hayride...

And some of us even found long lost relatives!
(HA!) We ended up spending a number of hours at the Pumpkin Patch and really enjoyed the weather that we had for the day! It was so much fun!

Tears of Joy

I can barely contain myself as I write this. I can feel the burn of the tears of joy brimming my eyes! Bug and Sidney are getting along...Bug is accepting of the love that R is giving him...he is being the sweet, loving boy that I remember him being!! I can't believe it! He is so HAPPY today!! (*sniffle*) I don't remember the last day that was THIS great for us!! Sigh.........
What an amazing feeling! I can't stop smiling!
So, is it that the Lithium that we started last week is kicking in and we MIGHT have finally found something to HELP us?? Or, are we experiencing a fluke...out of the ordinary, glimpse of the Bug that we all know and love today? I know, I should be thankful for this day (and I AM) but it is hard to not be cautious of the fact that tomorrow could be 180* different from today. I guess we won't know until it comes...
Until then, I am going to enjoy the fact that my son is, indeed, the boy that I have always knew he was, if only for today!
